2022 summer research training program in biomedical big data science
The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBI) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) invites applications for a 2-year fellowship program in big data analytics and biostatistics that includes participation in DBI’s summer research training program. The fellowships provide a unique opportunity for researchers to develop skills and knowledge in big data analytics and biostatistics through hands-on experience working on a research project with a team of faculty mentors, PhD students, and undergraduate research assistants. The summer research training program in biomedical big data science provides trainees with an opportunity to apply their quantitative and/or qualitative research skills in a collaborative environment while gaining first-hand experience with real world big data analysis. This program is intended for candidates who already have a PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and who plan to pursue a career in biomedical research. This program aims to support trainees during the summer and will provide an intensive 2-week course in data analytics and biostatistics for both the fellows and their mentors.
