Developed for “National Engineering Corporation”, Career Information Management System is a web-based project built in Java. The main aim of the project is to computerize the process of recruiting employees and accepting resumes online. By using this system, the company can save time and work involved for employing people to the jobs posted. For this a separate section named placement cell is maintained by the company which involves in selecting the right person for the right job.

About Career Information Management System:
With Career Information Management System, employees can be recruited in less time. The computerized system makes it easier for the company to select the right people for the right job by taking online tests and accepting their resumes. As there will be more one person posting for a single job online tests can be conducted for the users at a time and all the users will able to get the results within no time.
The placement cell has a list of jobs being displayed for the registered and unregistered users. The job seekers can not only view the jobs but also can post and take online tests for those jobs. So the people who get qualified and have the right skills are employed. By this the company can select right employees and not disturb their other activities.
This Career Information Management System makes it easier for companies with multiple branches to employee people from anywhere for any branch. The another advantage is that the company is having branches throughout the country. So this system will help them to employee people from anywhere for any branch.
The company doesn’t need to be involved personally with the job seekers and go for long procedures as followed in manual systems. The system provides a platform of online solutions from the superiors to the job seekers after taking the test so that the work is finished immediately.

This Career Information Management System can be installed on computer using the setup program. It decomposes and installs the files in the appropriate directories. To run the project, certain hardware and software has to be installed on the system. The system requirements include:

- A hard disk with a minimum of 50 megabytes available space for a full installation.
- SVGA or higher-resolution screen supported by Microsoft Windows.
